What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye try to arrange a new love seat in their living room while Phil grumbles about getting older. Curly, a friend of Phil's, tells him to get exercise and offers to borrow a barbell from a muscular acquaintance named Ox. Curly and Elliot Lewis struggle to move the heavy barbell out of the house before Alice sees it, and their attempts to manage it bring a string of mishaps. The story is a comedy of errors built around the household and its mishandled gear. The episode is from The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, first broadcast on NBC on October 16, 1953. The leads are Phil Harris and Alice Faye, with Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon also in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
