What happens
Phil Harris, Alice Faye and Elliott Lewis, with Julius along for the outing, travel from the American side of the border into Tijuana, Mexico, for a day of sightseeing. Their Mexican sightseeing companion is a musician named Pedro, who keeps trying to sing for them. The group shops, hears local songs and argues about food and souvenirs, and Julius creates trouble with his new purchases. The Phil Harris program aired on NBC on April 26, 1953, and this installment is written and starred by Harris and Faye.
Tijuana, Mexico, and the drive back toward the United States border
Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Elliott Lewis, Julius, Pedro
Listen for: Pedro's offers to play music for the group and Julius's purchases from the Mexican shops
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
