What happens
Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, has set up a pen pal project with students and teachers abroad. She secretly invents a French pen pal, Yvette Jouve, to test whether Philip Boynton cares for her, while Walter Denton, working in the mailroom, intercepts the letters. Meanwhile Harriet Conklin has invented an Italian pen pal, Giuseppe Mozzarella, and her father, Mr. Conklin, is alarmed by the letters and furious at Connie. The episode is from the Our Miss Brooks series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on January 23, 1955, starring Eve Arden, with Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
