What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High Summer School, and Principal Osgood Conklin have been trading irritations all week, and she is eager for the Fourth of July weekend. She plans a trip to Eagle Springs, where she intends to surprise a bashful scientist who does not know she is coming. Conklin, meanwhile, visits the doctor, who advises him to leave town for a few days to escape Miss Brooks. Walter Denton, Brooks's student, gets her a ticket, and the mix-ups over train seats and travel plans begin. This episode of Our Miss Brooks, starring Eve Arden, first aired on CBS Radio on July 3, 1949.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
