What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, is preparing for final exam week when Principal Conklin visits her apartment to propose a new award: the Yoda Critch Award for Unique Achievement in English, to be engraved on a silver loving cup. The series is Our Miss Brooks, which aired on CBS Radio, and this installment dates from May 27, 1951. Eve Arden plays Miss Brooks and Gale Gordon plays Mr. Conklin. Walter Denton, Harriet Conklin and Stretch Snodgrass all have roles in the day's events, which center on a barbecue party tied to the exam results and on Stretch's struggle to earn the cup.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
