What happens

Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, is invited by her landlady to spend Thanksgiving with her family, but she is left without a holiday plan when the family is not available. A student's prank notice in the school paper, offering a Thanksgiving dinner to someone alone, brings Mr. Boynton and Mr. Conklin to her with the same request. Miss Brooks and Mr. Boynton then set out to buy a cheap live turkey on a budget of five dollars, with Mr. Boynton's pet frog along for the drive. Eve Arden stars in this comedy episode of Our Miss Brooks, which aired on CBS Radio on November 19, 1950, with Jeff Chandler and Gale Gordon in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
