What happens
Miss Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, discovers that her landlady Mrs. Davis has taken a romantic interest in Horace Barlow, the school's new custodian. Mrs. Davis asks Connie to invite Mr. Barlow over for the evening, and Connie does so, but Mr. Barlow surprises her by announcing that he is in love with Connie herself. Connie, hoping to end the matter, tells him she is engaged to Mr. Boynton and asks Boynton to play along. Part of the episode is set in Our Miss Brooks, an OTRR single from CBS Radio originally aired on 1951-02-04, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.
