What happens

Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, hears from her landlady that Mr. Boynton, the biology teacher, has borrowed her copy of Cyrano de Bergerac. Walter Denton arrives at her breakfast table lovesick, explaining that Harriet Conklin has been receiving anonymous love poems, apparently hidden in her desserts in the school cafeteria. Miss Brooks suggests Walter outdo his rival by sending poems of his own. This is the first of the Our Miss Brooks episodes in this collection, a radio comedy from 1949 on CBS Radio starring Eve Arden and Gale Gordon, with Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna also in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
