What happens
Connie Brooks, a high school English teacher at Madison High summer school, is advised by her landlady, Mrs. Davis, to play the nurse for Mr. Boynton, the biology teacher she is dating, by feigning concern for his health. Walter Denton and Harriet Conklin join the household and the school, where a series of Pensacola Popovers, Mrs. Davis's experimental cookies, passes around. Mr. Boynton's appetite and Connie's attentions get ever more tangled as the morning goes on. The episode is the 1949 CBS Radio installment of the Our Miss Brooks series, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna, first broadcast on July 24, 1949.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
