What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, finds herself caring for Peanuts, a Great Dane left at her boarding house by a neighbor, Mrs. Evans, who is leaving town with her ailing husband. Brooks tries to pass the dog along to others, including her student Walter Denton and a pet shop owner. Keeping Peanuts hidden at school proves difficult, and the principal, Mr. Conklin, is soon confronted with a dog he cannot ignore. The episode is from the Our Miss Brooks radio series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on May 22, 1949, starring Eve Arden and Gale Gordon, with Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
