What happens
Connie Brooks, a teacher at Madison High, is short of money and her landlady keeps asking for her rent. Mr. Conklin, the school's principal, buys a new car and offers to drive some of his teachers to school each morning for eight dollars a month. Connie and the others scramble to find a way out of the arrangement, while Walter Denton, Harriet and Mr. Boynton each have a part in the plan. Our Miss Brooks was a CBS Radio comedy, and this October 1953 episode stars Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna. The story turns on a question of what a teacher may legally do for extra income.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
