What happens
Miss Brooks, a high school English teacher at Madison High, is frustrated when her romantic interest, Mr. Boynton, suddenly avoids her for three days. Her landlady, Mrs. Davis, reveals she saw him with an older woman. Boynton comes to Miss Brooks for help, explaining he took a job as a paid companion to an elderly woman, Josephine Markel, to pay off debts for new furniture. Complications arise when Boynton's employer turns out to be the sister of the school's principal, Mr. Conklin, who is preparing for a family reunion. The episode is part of the Our Miss Brooks series and was first broadcast on CBS Radio on October 25, 1953, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler, and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
