What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, has spent six years hoping Philip Boynton will grow more confident and romantic toward her. After she persuades him to grow a mustache, his personality seems to change, and he begins paying attention to other women. Meanwhile, the home economics class prepares its annual honorary gift, a hideous homemade outfit, and Miss Brooks, Mr. Conklin and Mrs. Davis's boarder Walter Denton all find themselves entangled in the question of who must receive it. The episode is from Our Miss Brooks, first broadcast on CBS Radio on March 27, 1955, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
