What happens
Harry Lime arrives on the Mediterranean island republic of Malinia to pursue a Baso soft drink concession, and finds himself caught up in the government's efforts to look like a democracy. The Malinian leader's wife and foreign minister, along with a presidential election plan, draw Lime and his companion Susie into a web of political maneuvering. The story is presented in the Mercury Theatre on the Air series, first broadcast on February 15, 1952, with Orson Welles in the title role as Harry Lime, the character originally created in The Third Man.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
