Santa spins novelty Christmas records, holiday songs and carols, vintage toy commercials and B-movie Christmas trailers from North Pole Radio, the little station in the corner of his workshop, with a bit of trivia and a corny joke between them. A Stupid Potato show.

About Santa's North Pole Radio

Santa's North Pole Radio is a free 24/7 Christmas radio station you can listen to online all year round: Christmas music, novelty Christmas records, vintage Christmas commercials and old holiday movie trailers, streaming around the clock with no sign-up, no app and no ads of our own. Santa hosts from the little station in the corner of his workshop, with a bit of trivia and a corny joke between the records. The library behind it holds more than 7,000 Christmas recordings and over 500 hours of holiday audio, most of it from the 1940s through the 1980s, with records that go back to the 1920s.

The novelty Christmas record is its own corner of American pop, and this station is built around it. Spike Jones and His City Slickers' "All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)" (1948), ten-year-old Gayla Peevey's "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" (1953), Lou Monte's "Dominick the Donkey," Yogi Yorgesson's "I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas" and Elmo & Patsy's "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" play between the standards: Bing Crosby's "Mele Kalikimaka," Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," Eartha Kitt's "Santa Baby," the Beach Boys' "Little Saint Nick" and the Carpenters' "Merry Christmas Darling," plus Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra and Mahalia Jackson.

Between the songs come more than 400 vintage Christmas commercials, trailers and promos: a 1943 Coca-Cola holiday greeting, a 1983 Sears Christmas commercial, the 1985 Hasbro Transformers Christmas ad, Duracell's 1990 Rudolph spot, and movie trailers from Scrooge (1951) and White Christmas to the 1964 cult favorite Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. The live stream never stops. In season, from October 1 to December 31, a new half-hour podcast episode comes out every day; the rest of the year a new one comes out each week. For complete Christmas radio plays and holiday comedy shows, the sister channel North Pole Radio: Holiday Specials plays them start to finish.
