What happens

Detective Nick Carter arrives at a locked movie studio to investigate a jewel robbery attempt involving actress Lulu Dorey, only to discover a murder has occurred. When he finds an electrician dead on a sound stage, killed by a blowgun from above, the mystery deepens as a second body—camera assistant Bill Daley—turns up with a knife in his throat, both weapons connected to an old, unfinished voodoo-themed picture the studio made years ago.

An abandoned movie studio that has been closed for ten years, now being used to film a new picture. The action centers on the sound stages and back rooms where mysterious props from an old film remain stored.

Characters: Nick Carter, Patsy, Joseph Stone, Lulu Dorey, Lieutenant Riley, Gabe Gaitman, Boyd, Bill Daley

Listen for: The investigation into why someone is using weapons from the old voodoo picture to commit murders, and what was hidden in the locked storage room that Boyd was heading toward when he died.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
