What happens

Nick Carter and Patsy arrive in southern Florida to wrap up a case, but before they can leave for New York, they discover a car wreck with a burned body inside. What appears to be a simple accident takes a sinister turn when Nick notices telltale signs of murder. The dead man, registered as George Brennan, had connections to a construction company in Ohio, and Nick must uncover who he really was and why someone wanted him dead.

Southern Florida, near Bay City; the Bayview Hotel; a rural road at night

Listen for: Nick's deduction about the car accident being murder based on examining the gear shift and burn marks; the discovery of George Brennan's true identity through a matchbook from a construction company in Ohio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
