What happens
Nick Carter's assistant Scobby arrives in Chicago in a mysterious daze, discovering he's been transformed into a red-haired gangster in a zoot suit with no memory of how he got there. A strange little man claiming to be a mystic named Cheaty confronted him at the airport, and now Scobby finds himself registered at a cheap hotel, apparently wanted for murder, with no idea what happened to him.
Chicago, 1944 - an airport, an airplane, and the seedy Hotel Prince Royal
Characters: Nick Carter, Scobby, Patsy, Cheaty the Mystic, Dolly, Hotel Clerk
Listen for: The bizarre encounter with the mysterious Cheaty at the airport and Scobby's confused awakening in the wrong body and wrong place.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
