What happens

Nick Carter escapes from a sealed vault and searches Doc Arnold's apartment for evidence about a baby-stealing ring. After a chase through the city, Nick reaches police headquarters and tells Lieutenant Raleigh about Mrs. Anders, whose baby was taken without a signed release—giving them grounds to arrest Arnold. Meanwhile, Arnold's criminal boss learns that Nick survived and is now working with the police.
