What happens

Chief Inspector Tanner and Sergeant Tarn travel to Lebanon Castle after Lord Lebanon fears for his life, and find the household uneasy after the strangling of his chauffeur at a fancy dress ball. Dr. Amisham, a family friend with a dark past in India, is questioned, and Lady Lebanon resists when the inspector asks to search a locked room. Red threads and a scarf become central clues. Lord Lebanon is a nervous, unpredictable heir, and his fiancée Isla Crane is frightened of something she has seen. The case grows more dangerous as the inspector presses the household for answers.

Listen for: Lord Lebanon's remarks about his family and India, and the sudden attack on Isla Crane

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
