What happens

Lieutenant Andy Blake, newly posted in wartime Washington, finds his wife Arabella has taken a job as a secretary and rented a room in a boarding house on Q Street. Andy grows suspicious of the house's residents, particularly a short, heavyset man named Mr. Jones, after overhearing a remark about a vacant room. Arabella, convinced the boarders are spies, begins keeping notes on their conversations. Andy confronts the household, and an uneasy night of pursuit and a threatening encounter follow. The Molle Mystery Theatre series presents this broadcast; the transcript is partial and the air date is given as June 20, 1944.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
