What happens

Ken Thurston, the man called X, travels to Dublin after a courier is attacked at the airport and secret atomic reports are stolen. He arrives at the Blue Unicorn inn, where several rival buyers of the documents are staying. Thurston joins the competition, bidding against Zora Dane and other guests while watching for signs of who is behind the theft. The series' Herbert Marshall stars in this episode of The Man Called X, first broadcast on March 31, 1951, on NBC. When one of the guests is found dead in his room, the rivals grow suspicious of each other, and Thurston must sort out who can be trusted.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
