What happens
Paris agent Ken Thurston and his chief investigate a series of sabotage accidents at the Kobza coal mines near Birkenfeld, where coal production is vital to the recovery of Europe. Their inquiry begins when a man who claims to know about the mines is killed in a Paris apartment. Thurston travels to Birkenfeld, where he meets the mine owner, Aline Kobza, and the police captain Hoffman, and he looks into the background of the mine foreman, Karl Brewer. Thurston goes down into the mine tunnels, where he is nearly run down by a runaway loading car.
Paris and the coal mining town of Birkenfeld in postwar Europe, including the Kobza mines and their tunnels.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
