What happens
Ken Thurston, a man called X, searches for a former Nazi agent named Schneider, who has returned to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, after six years. The shop has been sold to a buyer, and Ken follows the trail through the village's antique dealers and a shop assistant. Herbert Marshall plays Ken Thurston in this Man Called X episode, broadcast on February 22, 1948, on CBS, sponsored by Frigidaire.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
