The episode is part of the NBC series The Man Called X, first broadcast on June 29, 1951, starring Herbert Marshall in the title role. Thurston's search draws him toward Marshal Petrov and a journalist named Anna Werner, as the stakes of the Operation Zero plans grow clear.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
