What happens
In Los Angeles, Mrs. Gregory, her daughter Joan, and Jerry Hall are locked in the radio room of Mrs. Gregory's home after a faint smoke fills the house. Mrs. Gregory insists they stay inside until Captain Bradford or Johnson arrives to let them out, while she and Captain Bradford keep Joan and Jerry in the dark about how much they know. The group watches warning lights on a signal board as a stranger moves through the house toward the study. The smoke proves strange, and Captain Bradford arrives with Tex to explain what has been happening. He reports missing Euclidean submarines and a rescue that went wrong, and the group begins planning a return to the Magic Island of Euclidean.
