What happens
Jerry and Joan return to the house in Hollywood to find Mrs. Gregory alone, the captain being away at the harbor. When an intruder enters the house, triggering the alarm system, Mrs. Gregory keeps the young people in the radio room and explains the study trap designed by Captain Bradford. The intruder appears to pass the study without entering it and leaves. Joan suggests that many famous scientists on Euclidea were supposedly lost at sea or in the air. Captain Bradford telephones with instructions to stay in the room, and then a smell of smoke is noticed in the house.
A house in Hollywood, California, with an automatic alarm system and a soundproof radio room on the Magic Island of Euclidea's connection
Characters: Jerry, Joan, Mrs. Gregory, Captain Bradford, G-47
Listen for: The smell of smoke at the end of the transcript, and Captain Bradford's instructions to stay in the room and not open the door
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
