What happens

Johnson, Captain Bradford, Jerry, Mrs. Gregory and Joan are rescued from the sea after an oil tanker runs down their small boat, leaving them covered in magnetic paint and thrown into the water. The tanker's crew picks them up and turns back toward the harbor. In the captain's cabin, Mrs. Gregory and Joan are given dry blankets and talk about the comforts of life in Joan's world, while Joan asks about riches, bicycles and dresses. Meanwhile Captain Bradford and Johnson use the ship's radio to pass a story to amateur operators, and they plan a discreet landing by hiding among shipped supplies. Jerry's father, who does not yet know his son is safe, becomes the subject of Tex's concern as the ship nears Los Angeles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
