What happens
Tex Bradford, Jerry, Joan and Mrs. Gregory are aboard a submarine within a hundred miles of Los Angeles when they discover they are losing speed. Joan believes another Euclidean submarine directly behind them is holding them back with magnets. The group considers how to escape the pursuing boat, including magnetic bombs that could halt it. They discuss timing the release of the bombs near the harbor, and Tex decides to radio Johnson using a prearranged signal system, so that Johnson can meet them with a boat free of metal. The transmission is repeated as the signal is sent again and again.
