What happens
On the island of Eucharitya, the Gregory party is held in steel cells on a lower level, after a failed escape. Mrs. Gregory, her daughter Joan, Jerry and Captain Bradford learn that the island is being moved along the ocean floor. Alone with Jerry and Joan, Mrs. Gregory voices her despair, while the two young people look for a way out. They find water seeping through a hole in a cell wall, and Joan explains that the prisoners here are slowly flooded until they give up what their captors want. Mrs. Gregory and Captain Bradford weigh surrendering the captain's formula. Then someone knocks on the door, and Captain Bradford steps out to investigate.
