What happens
Joan Gregory and Jerry Hall wait aboard the Gregory yacht on the Magic Island after Mrs. Gregory and Captain Tex Bradford vanish on a secret mission. Left with a note telling them to make no move, the two young people listen to radio music and grow increasingly anxious. When Mrs. Gregory and the captain return, they reveal a plan to escape the island using a celluloid diving suit fitted with a small oxygen tank and a homing pigeon. The captain prepares to swim through the fog and gas ring surrounding the island, carrying a message to Johnson, who is standing by offshore. The guide ends as Tex slips into the water and Jerry and Joan await the signal that he has got clear.
