What happens
Jerry and Joan tour the Magic Island while Gregory and Captain Bradford work on a plan in the yacht. Joan takes Jerry down to the underground levels by elevator, explaining how the island's electromagnetic machinery operates and how the place stays silent. Jerry wants to hear noise, and he presses to reach the submarine lock level, where the door refuses to open. When Jerry tries a different floor, the elevator stops and the power fails, leaving the car held in place by magnets. The episode ends with water rushing around the shaft and the two trapped inside, with the air beginning to run short.
