What happens

On the South Seas island of Euclidea, Captain Bradford, Jerry Hall, Tex and the Gregory family are held by the mad scientist G-47. Jerry had released a homing pigeon carrying a message to the rescue boat, but G-47 returns with the bird, stopped by gas in a fog ring around the island. Tex reveals that the formula he sent G-47 was false, a decoy for synthetic diamonds that dissolves when pressed. The captives discuss how to escape while G-47's assistants work on the formula, and Joan asks how a universal solvent could be contained. Later, the second pigeon is found altered and Captain Bradford discovers magnetic paint on it, leaving the group with their hopes diminished.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
