What happens

Jerry Hall joins Mrs. Patricia Gregory and Captain Tex Bradford aboard the yacht Joan Gregory as it leaves Los Angeles Harbor at two in the morning. They are following a radio message from a dying old sailor who says a little white girl lives on an island in the South Seas. Jerry helps with the radio set and is skeptical at first, while Tex and Patricia hope the message is genuine. Using directional receivers and a chart, they work out where the transmission is coming from, and the bearings point south toward the 30th parallel. Patricia recalls the shipwreck that took her daughter Joan years earlier, and the crew sets a course to search for the island.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
