What happens

A rare Winchester rifle, the Model 1873, passes from hand to hand across the frontier as its owners pursue it. In Dodge City, Lynn McAdam wins the prized gun at a shooting match, only to have the outlaw Dutch Henry Brown take it by force. Lynn and his friend High Spade follow Dutch across the plains, while Steve Miller takes Lola away to a ranch he hopes to build. This is the Lux Radio Theatre presentation of Winchester 73, broadcast on November 12, 1951, starring James Stewart, Stephen McNally, and Julia Adams. The episode's first half ends with the story still unfolding.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
