What happens

Joe Mulqueen, an insurance investigator from the Manhattan Insurance Company, is sent to Ireland after the Blarney Stone is stolen from Blarney Castle, a loss his employer must cover at half a million dollars. Joe also meets Brian's daughter Colleen, and a local legend about the stone's theft brings strange talk of misfortune to the village. The episode is an Irish-themed romance from the Lux Radio Theatre series, first broadcast on March 17, 1952, starring Dennis Day, Anne Blythe and Barry Fitzgerald.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
