What happens
Mary and Jock Lawrence, a married couple, separate in a lawyer's office, and Bill Hallam, the attorney handling the divorce, is also an old friend of theirs. As Bill reviews the case, memories surface of their wedding at the Waldorf, a honeymoon, and the rising fortunes of Jock's building business in the 1920s. Bill, Mary and Jock were close friends from the start, and the story traces how their marriage was strained by money, ambition and the troubles of the years around the 1929 stock market crash. Irene Dunne plays Mary, Ray Milland plays Jock, and Otto Kruger plays Bill in this Lux Radio Theatre broadcast, originally aired on November 16, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
