What happens

Albert Lorry, a schoolteacher in an unnamed European town under German occupation, keeps a diary as the Nazis take control. Louise Martin, a fellow teacher, is at the heart of his life, while her brother Paul secretly resists the occupiers. Major von Keller enforces the new order, and Professor Sorelle is seized as a hostage after a railroad wreck and a bombing. This is the Lux Radio Theatre presentation of This Land Is Mine, with Charles Laughton and Marlene Sullivan, though the transcript gives no air date beyond the program's own listing. The story follows the townspeople as they face pressure and loyalty choices under occupation.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
