What happens

Jeff Peters and his cousin Orville survive a shipwreck and reach the North African coast, where a stranger buys Orville as a slave. Jeff, guilt-stricken after selling his cousin for 2,500 colocks, sets out through the streets of a Moroccan city and finds a palace where a man in native costume is reclining among dancers and slaves. The episode is a radio adaptation of the Paramount film The Road to Morocco, presented on Lux Radio Theatre and first broadcast on April 5, 1943, with Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Ginny Sims in the leading roles.

A shipwreck at sea, then a desert road and the walled Moroccan city of Katamish.

Characters: Jeff Peters, Orville Peters, Aunt Lucy, Mr. Jordan, Moolay Kastim, Princess Chalmarakaramesh

Listen for: The comic bickering between Jeff and Orville, Jeff's sale of his cousin, and Jeff's search through the palace.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
