What happens
In 1938, on the eve of war in Europe, New York newspaper man Pat O'Toole pursues a story about American heiress Catherine Dutt Smith and her planned marriage to Baron von Luber, an Austrian aristocrat. Pat tracks Catherine through Vienna, where her wedding plans suddenly change as the Nazis enter Austria, and the newlyweds flee to Warsaw. There Pat keeps appearing, first as a reporter and then as an unlikely confidant to Catherine, while the Baron's business dealings and his ties to a general begin to draw attention. This is the Lux Radio Theatre production of Once Upon a Honeymoon, broadcast on April 12, 1943, starring Claudette Colbert and Brian Donlevy, with Laird Cregar and Albert Decker in supporting roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
