What happens
Lucy and David Talbot are newlyweds in France in 1935 when David receives an anonymous letter demanding one million francs. The letter is traced to Carlos Liduke, who is put on trial for extortion. As the case unfolds, the prosecution and defense dispute David's identity, since he suffered amnesia after a train accident in 1922. Witnesses are called, including a physician, a former lover, and a wine salesman, and David himself is questioned about his duties at the Foreign Office. This Lux Radio Theatre broadcast, starring Lana Turner and Pierre Aumont, was first aired on March 29, 1943, and is a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production adapted for radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
