What happens

George Raft plays Stacey, a convict serving a long sentence at Rocky Point prison, and Frank Ross, a newspaper reporter wrongly convicted of manslaughter, is sent there as well. Stacey, who once trusted him, is connected to a fellow convict's violent death. Joyce, Ross's fiancee, works to clear his name while Ross tries to find the men who framed him. Stacey plots an escape, and Ross and Joyce become entangled in the plan. This adaptation of the Lux Radio Theatre production of Each Dawn I Die, broadcast on March 22, 1943, stars George Raft, Franchot Tone and Lynn Bari, with producer Cecil B. DeMille introducing the program.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
