What happens

Magazine writer Mike Connor and photographer Liz Imbrie are sent by a scandal sheet editor to cover the upcoming second marriage of Tracy Lord, a Philadelphia society woman. To get inside the Lord household, they pose as friends of Tracy's brother, Junius. Her first husband, C. K. Dexter Haven, is part of the scheme and is himself a figure in the household's affairs. The Lux Radio Theatre production, first broadcast on June 14, 1943, stars Loretta Young, Robert Taylor and Robert Young. The guide covers only the opening part of the play, as the transcript does.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
