What happens

Karen Duncan, a celebrated concert pianist, arrives at the Mount Viers Sanatorium in the Swiss mountains for treatment of a serious illness. Dr. Tony Stanton is her attending physician, and she soon forms a friendship with a fellow patient, Celestine Miller, whose husband is involved elsewhere. Karen grows restless under the strict rules of her care, especially when she is forbidden to visit the village. Karen and Tony's relationship deepens as her condition is discussed. This Lux Radio Theatre production of The Other Love, broadcast on June 16, 1947, stars Barbara Stanwick, George Brent and Richard Conte, with Joan Lorring as Celestine.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
