What happens
Nick Bianco, a career criminal with two daughters, is questioned by Assistant District Attorney Louis D'Angelo about an armed robbery and refuses to name his accomplices. After his wife's death, Bianco agrees to become an informer, and D'Angelo arranges for him to see his children at an orphan home. Bianco's lawyer, Earl Houser, is introduced as a man who seems to know much about the underworld. Nettie, a woman who once lived with Bianco's family, visits him in prison and speaks of Marie and a man named Pete Rizzo. Lux Radio Theatre presents this 1948 adaptation of Kiss of Death, with Victor Mature, Colleen Gray and Richard Widmark in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
