What happens

Bob Graham, a young clerk, is taken into custody after a fight in a Saturday night cafe leaves a man dead, and the district attorney, Martin Brady, weighs what charge to bring against him. Bob is sent to the Jute Mill at the state prison, where Warden Mark Brady, the former district attorney, has taken over. Dr. Ryan Wolf and the warden's daughter Mary take an interest in Bob's condition. Edward G. Robinson stars with Beverly Roberts, Paul Guilfoyle and Noel Madison in this Lux Radio Theatre broadcast, which aired on January 18, 1937.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
