What happens
Lydia Kenyon, a modern and independent woman, is married to advertising man Tony Kenyon. On the afternoon of their fifth anniversary, Tony's best friend Jim Blake buys a diamond clip for Tony's wife, and Lydia overhears the purchase. Tensions surface during the anniversary evening as Tony's business dealings and his attentions to a client's wife strain their marriage. Lydia leaves the party in anger and goes out with Jim, and Tony is left to confront what has gone wrong. Based on Samson Raphaelson's play, this Lux Radio Theatre production stars Claudette Colbert, Ray Milland and Brian Aherne. It was broadcast on February 2, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
