What happens

Harry Steele, a former pilot stranded in Cusco, Peru, agrees to help a refugee named Elena Antonescu reach the United States. Their plan involves a stolen plane owned by a Romanian contact, Marko, and a flight into the Andes. Harry is searching for the legendary golden sunburst of the Incas, and his path crosses that of Ed Morgan, a rival who wants a share of the treasure. The episode from the Lux Radio Theatre series, first broadcast on December 14, 1954, stars Charlton Heston and Nicole Maury. Harry and Elena reach an archaeological camp at the ancient ruins, where the expedition's leader describes a tomb and a carved stone map said to lead to the sunburst.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
