What happens
Captain Jack Stewart is accused of deliberately wrecking the Southern Cross on Satan's Shoal, a crime that could mean hanging. In a crowded Key West courtroom, he is questioned by Stephen Tolliver, an attorney from Charleston who serves the Devereux line, the ship's owners. The questioning turns toward Loxie Claiborne, a salvage-boat captain's daughter who was on the water that morning and whose past dealings with Stewart are now in question. Through her testimony, the events of earlier wrecks and the rivalry between Stewart, the Cutler brothers and the Devereux company are brought forward. This is the Lux Radio Theatre presentation of Reap the Wild Wind, broadcast on March 8, 1943, starring Ray Milland and Paulette Goddard with John Carradine.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
