What happens
Actress Liza Madden and her manager Ken Hamlin are startled when Liza arrives at her New York apartment with a foundling she found in a rooming house. Her secretary Buddy and the staff try to keep the infant hidden while Liza insists on keeping him, and a doctor, Dr. Corey McBain, is called in to examine the baby. The episode is the Lux Radio Theatre's 1943 broadcast of the Columbia film The Lady Is Willing, first aired March 1, 1943, with George Brent and Kay Francis in the leads. The story is a romantic comedy about an actress, a foundling and a doctor, and the broadcast follows the characters through the early complications of the baby's arrival.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
